Northwoods Slashes Costs with Inmedius Omnibus Learning Management System

Our Omnibus eLearning implementation has been extremely successful. As a relatively small, but growing software firm, purchasing, deploying and operating a full-featured LMS can be costly and intimidating. This was not the case with Omnibus, which was competitively priced and easy-to-use, while providing advanced capabilities at no additional expense.

A major Northeast grocery chain had extensive training needs for it’s 6000 employees

The chain was training employees strictly in an instructor-led model. By using Knowledge Bridge and Omnibus, they were able to train their workforce using their Intranet; greatly reducing travel costs and improving the quality of training. Knowledge Bridge technology allowed the chain’s trainers to immediately begin creating training, minimizing the time and expense of creating their own internal training library.

A large medical technology company used Omnibus to move it’s training & quality assurance program totally on line

There was a need for more than 500 courses to relate to each of the company’s products, as well as their assembly and verification processes. Strict FDA guidelines for errors and retraining had to be incorporated in the courseware. The company also faced a geographic challenge with office locations worldwide. The training department needed to centralize control of the content while offering each office access to their own scheduling and record-keeping. These challenges were met through a combination of:

  • The Knowledge Bridge authoring tool allowed their SME’s to create 500 courses in less than 6 months
  • Omnibus’ flexible model for certification & retraining allowed the company to operate within the FDA’s strict guidelines
  • By using Omnibus, the company was able to build individual portals for each of their satellite offices, while managing the content library
